Author: Robert Louis Stevenson

This is the sequel to Kidnapped and is equally exciting, following the trials and tribulations of David Balfour. As if being kidnapped wasn't enough, he was shipwrecked, and then had to walk for miles and miles through the Scottish highlands that went from pouring rain to scorching sun. There is a strong element of romance in this story but it doesn't detract from the power of the adventure. You may find it hard to read because it was written in Scottish tongue, which could be challenging to the modern non-Caledonian reader but overall a very fun read!
